The photo is printed with food coloring onto special - and of course edible - fondant paper. Your cake topper comes on a lined sheet which is affixed to gold tone cardboard before being shrink-wrapped. This ensures that your topper is securely packed with optimal freshness, and can be stored for up to 6 months.
Using your topper is easy - just open the protective packaging and place your edible photo onto your cake.
By the way, the sealant which can be optionally ordered protects your edible topper from saturation - for example, when placed directly onto creamy icings. Of course, the sealant is edible as well.
